Olympic graphics have been shown today, quite a number of different styles. They look reasonably good.

Jeff Randall Live has finished for the summer - apparently returning on the 5th September. However the EPG still says it will be on as normal.

Another strange move by Sky there. I didn't realise that the business world stopped during the Summer.

You'd think that given the state of the economy and the current debt crisis in the US that they'd keep it going - even without Jeff Randall.

No surprise really - they give up totally on business news between Christmas and New Year despite the stock market being open. Clearly they only care when the viewers are there in 'big' numbers. Commercially may make sense, but doesn't do their credibility any good

Does the slot get good ratings, though? And if so, is it profitable?

It could do. It'd be nice to have Skynews.com back for the Summer Period, or just times when Jeff Randall Live is taking a 'break'.

I read somewhere that it pulls in stunning upmarket demos. Something like 70% IIRC. So even a small audience is very valuable to advertisers.

Could be that its just Jeff whos off on holiday! They could have another Business Presenter present it!

Maybe. I guess we'll find out on Monday - but from what he said at the end of the programme, it sounded like the show has ended until September.
