totally agree with you . Don't understand why they removed the globe backdrop( very senseful for world news) and why they changed the studio in early 2009 . I think it was better before. The main desk used to look better , it had a screen inside..I also would like to see that they start presenting from the balcony again (although its used for five news updates and green screen) . As well I prefered the presenters walking up and down the stairs. All this has been totally removed from the sky news schedule in the last 2 and a half years very sad!It could be so much better! + why do they have this great and long newswall ? not to use it? And instead using a boring allery backdrop? I really don't understand the people at sky who are responsible for this

They need to reach a happy medium - they can use other areas of the studio without going over the top - I wouldn't like them to go back to 2005 where the presenter was half worrying about falling down the stairs when talking. It would be so easy and just add a little variety to the studio if they used more than that one bloody gallery shot, all the time. The newswall is just wasted now!

the only ones that have changed are The Live Desk and Afternoon Live, and that's for the worst. I must say I miss the island, and newswall, I'm getting fed up of the gallery backdrop (It's not for 9am in the morning more like 5pm-10pm, before the color bars appear!) Why did they get rid of the globe backdrop... and the island. The newswall needs to be used more, bring the island back and the names + the great voiceovers: Live from the Sky News centre.... Get rid of NSW and bring back Saturday Live, for the weekend.

Sorry to go on... I miss the old Sky News

Does anyone else think the channel is due for another revamp before long? Everything just seems so stale again at the moment. The graphics have only had slight modifications since they first arrived in 2008. The same presenters have been stook in the same slots for so long and the studio is just looking cheap and dated (In particular the main desk). Not to complain too much, but when comparing the overall presentation to that of the 2005 and pre 2005 era, everything appeared to be far more lively and watchable back then.

I don't know but I really hope so! The graphics seem so boring and unvaried! There are only capital letters! In my opinion the graphics from 2005-2007 were the best skynews ever had!

I love the newsroom backdrop used most of the day, better than the island and newswall on Kay's shift.

The haul 2005 package was the best: Studio, graphics...

Sky is only taking the audio from the press gathering with the solicitor. The BBC have pictures and you can see the Sky crew have cameras from the BBC News shot so I wonder why audio only? Confused

Joey Jones was outside the hotel where Murdoch and the Dowler family were meeting. I know this because I saw him on BBC News. On Sky however, he is phoning his report in on a bad quality phone line. I wonder if Sky had problems with their link?

One of the producers on Twitter said they couldn't get any signal from the area.

The BBC video was pixelated so that explains why.

Odd for a Saturday, we've just had Sky News At Nine and now we're on to the first Press Preview. Usually, only the second one airs on weekends. I'm assuming this is for consistency - as Sky News now likes!
