She was absolutely right not to apologise. I know she can overdo it at times but her style of interviewing is to be confrontational and people on sites such as Twitter seem to take that as an example of bias when in fact she acts the same in all interviews. Bryant would not act in the same way with any other presenter.

People often jump to these types of conclusions, but in all likelyhood such a person wouldn't 'act' like that to another female either. Mainly because another presenter wouldn't be so confrontational.
I wonder if he would dare to act like this with a male presenter, Kay made a good point about this on BBC's This Week.

Didn't think there was much in it compared to some of Kay's past interviews! I wonder if Chris Bryants reference to Sky's coverage being exemplary over the last couple of weeks was a bit of a stab on Kay Burley who was on holidays in that period?

I absolutely agree with all the comments made so far.
For anyone who missed this afternoon's live interview here is an excerpt from the interview:

She's loathsome and she should have apologised.
The first time round she either failed to grasp what phone hacking actually meant, "change your PIN", or she purposefully suggested that it was merely one or two people affected.
Some reporter. She's odious, ill informed, rude and arrogant.
My God, if Sky News ended up being closed, her dismissal would be the one favourable aspect.

Well I think he might have a point there. Sky's coverage has been superb in recent days and while I don't have any major issue with Kay, she does tend to draw a lot of negative publicity on herself.
Not sure if anyone has noted this but yesterday Adam Boulton got rather frustrated and rolled his eyes at her after she seemed to completely ignore his analysis of News Corp withdrawing their concessions over the BSkyB.

I'm not really interested if there's a consensus of opinion - I think her track record speaks for itself.
But I would be fascinated to know why you feel he was out of order for bringing her to task for her outrageous editorialising of events in the first interview.
She was *so* wrong its laughable - and when he questioned why she had drawn the conclusions she had, she suggested she was "playing devil's advocate".
In the case of her allegiance to Rupert Mudoch, that's the most fitting description I've heard - right from the horse's mouth.
But do go on...

From what I've seen, Bryant was absolutely out-of-order and glad to see that's the consensus here. Can't stand the man. He's odious.

News International doesn't own the BSkyB shares it's News Corporation NI's parent company.
I'm not sure if anyone's ever answered this question fully - but if News International are deemed not to be 'fit and proper' owners of a broadcasting licence - will they have to give up their EXISTING share in B-Sky-B?

Good on Chris Bryant once again, who was absolutely right to take Burley to task over her appalling conduct in the previous interview, particularly in light of recent events. Who gives a toss what the consensus is on here? This thread is pro-Sky all the way so not representative of opinion as a whole. Go and look at the YouTube comments and you will see that
by far
the most common opinion is that Burley was in the wrong and should have apologised. She gives journalism a bad name and anyone who can't see it is frankly a fool.

Unusually for me, I don't know why really, I quite like Kay Burley. As for this incident, what a joke - what did he want her to say "OK, you told us so!" Who does he think he is, Jesus? I think she summed it up well - she's just the newsreader, not the voice of moral authority - so what if she got it wrong, if he really thought she was "dim", he wouldn't have come back on to Sky News when she was on - that's low!
