I' m quite irritated by the fact that both my satellite and my cable epg show the old programme names such as afternoon live sky news today and live at five again
Sky News now naming the footballer at the centre of the injunction story after an MP named him in the House of Commons. No other 'traditional' media outlet is naming him as of yet.
Not entirely sure what the law is in regard to reporting what has been said in parliament, clearly other newsrooms taking a more cautious line.
I bet Sky News will be relieved to name him and it looks like others will follow suit now, but it does seem the BBC might be a more reluctant.
Sky News have mentioned his name and shown pictures of him but they still haven't actually said that he is the subject of the injunction, what they are saying is an MP has named him. I suspect there is a difference and Sky are being very careful. The BBC seemed to start reporting the name later than Sky so were being even more careful

I'm presuming the question by the MP was broadcast on BBC Parliament?
I assume so, but there's very little that could stop that from happening. Adam Bolton has just said that Sky shouldn't actually broadcast the name as they only have 'qualified priviledge' but they have taken the decision to
It's really interesting to see this pan out, it's got lots of different facets in terms of law, judicary, old media and new media. It's not really about who slept with who, the story's moved on a long way from there

it seems that jeff randall live had another slight graphical refresh
I noticed the title sequence and graphics on the tv screens looked lighter but I've not seen it for a couple of weeks so didn't know if it was new or not
