Nice use of it in portrait mode to illustrate the front page of The Guardian.

I presume they still use the old screen on Sunrise?

The tv in portrait mode is strange, I don't think I have seen it like that before but I think its been mentioned.

haven't they always had that to show the website on? Course portrait plasmas were used to great effect in the old 2000 BBC Washington studio

This press preview is working surprisingly well so far, certainly going on it's first outing Sky News at 9 is a big improvement.

Great for the many expat viewers to get a full Press Preview at 10.30pm (their time) rather than waiting until 00.30am.

I thought the portrait screens around the studio and I have seen a similar one on BBC Radio 1 were a smaller type

I thought that Sky News at Nine was a very good show, I understand why they did the earlier press preview and with the good guests that Anna had on last night, I think it worked well. Obviously the problems will come when the guests are more dull and the front pages are less diverse.
It is a shame that they cut another hour from Martin Stanford, again. Hopefully the 'Nine format will be used in other NSW slots as well, especially on the weekends from the newsroom backdrop.

I would gladly welcome more movement and programme diversity though. The overnights and post-Afternoon Live shows all seem to be near-identical formats.

Two big names with Gillian tonight. Michael Portillo and Kathy Lette.

I am surprised they haven't run any promos for this as it would only benefit it. They wouldn't have to name the guests, it could easily be a generic one to be used daily. I wonder whether this will run weekends too and incorporate more sport?

The giant tv screen has remained portrait for the 22:30 and 23:30 Press Previews tonight

Just noticed that Michael Portillo has been replaced by Robert Fox and Kathy Lette has been replaced by Jullia Hartley-Brewer for the 23:30 Press Preview

I missed the 22:30 does anyone know which set of guest were on for that 1?
