I've noticed this afternoon that they are not doing that swoosh wipe transition at the top of the hour after the headlines to the live studio shot

Also not used at 10pm

yes this is the case since yesterday at 10pm. First I thought it was a problem with the graphics but it seems that they donīt use this any more deliberately. I have also noticed that they use a different banner before the weather and before the sport and after the coming up sequence

Oh right thanks Phil94, it feels odd without it after so many years, I hope they put it back soon

They used it at 1am but only for a second it cut to the studio shot, played part of the swoosh wipe which dissapeared almost instantly and back to the studio shot

Very good coverage of the Libya story this morning. Emma Hurd now in Benghazi. They have also drafted in Francis Tusa who is always superb on stories like this.

Colin Brazier is still in Tokyo, on air at the moment.

I've seen this to at 1am but today since 11am they use this again as usual. What I've also noticed is that they use this swoosh wipe sometimes when they return to sky centre after a report

It's really felt like the Sky News of old these last few weeks. Very strong coverage of two massive stories.

It did not feel right them not using the swoosh wipe, I wonder why they stopped using it for a day?, I noticed that too, They used it this morning to show The Libya map with Emma Hurd or Lisa Holland on following a report as you said

Nice camera work at the top of the 3, 4 ,5 & 6pm hours,

indeed.Instead of showing the newswall at 6pm, the camera showed the studio from the other way round so that you could see stephen and tim from behind and the sunrise desk. This was the first time ever I have seen this.Looks better in my opinion, although the newswall is also important

Not wishing to be outdone by @niallpaterson - here's the view from my end of the studio towards the newswall
