I think the hour was starting a few seconds early which may have something to do with Sky News at Midnight starting with a frozen start image of the toth. Audio carried on.
Eventually we saw Gillian who introduced the headlines and graphics appeared.
No toth v/o but they did flash up Gillians name.
Mmmm... laggy and jittery. Video starts then stops - even on the live stream.
Meh - I'll try again later.

I've not seen an expert do a little mini report before
For the last 2 days Malcolm Grimston from Chatham House has been stood next to the giant tv screen used for Sunrise and talked us through whats happening at the Fukushima 1 nuclear power plant whilst detailed graphics are on the screen
It makes a nice change to have someone who knows what they are talking about explaining it to us instead of a normal reporter
Sky's coverage has been really good over the last 4 days

Hmm, I wonder if their excellent coverage has had something to do with the absence of Kay Burley?

No doubt that Afternoon Live would have been Kay Burley, being the quality, totally impartial journalist she is, conducting an interview chock full of insensitive and moronic questions.
Presumably Jeremy Thompson is sailing towards retirement and in his most recent contract round stipulated that he wanted to stay in the UK a bit more - either that or Sky have had a change of heart on his capability at outside broadcasts (hard to imagine). All guesswork.
Of the current line up, Kay Burley (1989), Jeremy Thompson (1993?), and Anna Botting (1995?) would be the longest serving.
I think Sky's coverage of Japan has been pretty good from what I've seen, but not sure I'd want to be Sky's lawyers if something horrific happens over there.
