FT are tonight reporting that News Corp could be just days away from agreeing a deal with OFT that would allow the BSkyB takeover to get regulatory approval.

The remedy would apparently be structural rather than behavioural, i.e it would go further than just an independent editorial board for Sky News. Effectively Sky News would be cut off from the rest of BSkyB.
If Jeremy Hunt agrees with the concessions there would supposedly be a 15 day consultation period. The next hurdle for News Corp would then be agreeing a price for the Sky shares.

News Corp is close to an agreement with regulators addressing concerns about its bid for British Sky Broadcasting . According to people familiar with the discussions, a deal could include hiving off Sky News and come as soon as next week.

If news corp were to take a majority shareholding in skynews would it make a difference to on air presentation? Are news corp committed to providing major. Investment in skynews?

They mentioned it on Sunrise yesterday morning briefly and it's on their website.
don´t understand why sky news doesn´t say anything about that they were voted as best newschannel of the year

Start of Sky News at Six we cut to Andrew Wilson in Benghazi who stood there in silence looking at the camera for about 10 seconds before cutting to Jeremy Thompson in the studio who read the top stories out, voice over then said just... This is Sky News, sounded odd to not hear the names after it for once

Maybe you could get a capture of this? You do have a capture device, don't you?

Does anyone know whether Andrew Wilson moved straight from Tobruk to Benghazi over the weekend or did he stop off elsewhere to present en route? Additionally, is it HD presentation or a low quality feed? If anyone has caps, I'd be keen to see them as I've been away.
Also has he just being doing Live at Five and 6pm or other programmes through the day?
The logistics must be extremely challenging to present live inside Libya - particularly at an early stage. Hope Sky persevere all the way to Tripoli as the situation dictates. Reminiscent of Jeremy Thompson’s work in Kosovo and Iraq in previous years. Very impressive.

making a big deal out of it after missing out to the Beeb and ABC on speaking to the man himself
Sky currently airing Lisa Holland's interview with Saif Gaddafi. Sky's coverage continuing to impress, their best coverage of a foreign story in a long while.

I've not seen any of the other coverage on Sky today, but I just turned over to find them go out of a break and straight into a pre-recorded intro from Lisa Holland into the interview, no sign of the studio presenter for headlines on the 15 minutes.

Notice this morning that all the graphics except the dog and ticker are pixelated, The name and main aston graphics have a slight gap between it and the ticker so it looks like it was recorded earlier and not live
