I must be the minority that is bored of it all - push it to press red I say!

Wouldn't mind but Sky won't even put their hand in their pocket and pay for sat space....

The story about Egypt is an important regional and international one, which some analysts have compared to the scenes that occurred in Eastern Europe over the past 60 years, such as the Hungarian Rising. If Sky did push it to the red button then they'd get a lot of stick - all other news channels are leading with Egypt and many people are interested in what is happening, it's not every day that a major regional power loses all control over its own citizens, especially one that has had billions of dollars ploughed into its military by America.

Sky's coverage has been very strong, the team they have on the ground has done an excellent job and have genuinely put their lives on the line to report this story, and they should be commended for this.

And getting back to the matter at hand..... Good to see Martin presenting in a non 'in 15 minutes, every 15 minutes' format tonight. The team on the ground in Cairo continuing to do a great job.

Yeah I think it was more like you wanted to back up your point by making out that everyone agreed with you. A bit sad.

You know, when you're resorting your insults, you know you've lost the argument.

Back to the original topic subject now.

I also noticed that the 15 minutes-format has been ditched tonight. It is a nice change, as the story is a very important one at this stage. Has Sky got better OBs than C4, as tonight theirs crashed.

I'll make a conscious effort to sound half intelligent to meet the requirements of the Oxford graduates amongst us... I understand perfectly the relevance that the situation in Egypt has on the wider world, but don't call me a fool for wishing to see what else is happening across that wider world.

By all means update us when something happens or develops - but PERSONALLY I don't see the need to stay on the story to hear reporters and correspondents loop what they've said over and over (on poor quality links) whilst watching the same pictures over and over or worst still, live pictures so dark even the reporters close to the ground can't tell you what side has the majority of protesters.

I'm not knocking Sky's coverage and obviously this story is of great interest to some members on here, I just can't see it being to the same level of interest to everyday viewers....

Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I have my wish and for the first time in a few days I can see Sky reporting on news much closer to home.

Oh, for goodness sake !

Tell you what, seeing as they're only a Tenner, why don't you buy Micheal a card, and send it to him ?

I don't know who Michael is but I will buy Richard a cheapo capture device if he wants to give me his address (send me a PM, Richard). In return, I ask that he keeps his recordings of the two incidents mentioned above so that he can upload them when it arrives.

Thanks for your kind offer David, have PM'd you Smile

You did read that David's offer is conditional on you having the clips you mentioned available?

Always read the small print - or in this case, the whole paragraph.

Yes I still have them Gavin Smile

So, it's been a week now. Have you received the capture device yet? I only ask as I am yet to see you upload any videos. Just thought I would mention it.
