For anyone feeling Nostalgic, its basically the Sky News Today format from 2005 before the new News Centre came into use

I have only seen a couple of minutes of the program but was Sarah established enough to present with Adam?
I thought she would be only reading the headlines but from what I have seen it seemed to be a duo presentation. For that role I think someone like Anna Botting or Anna Jones would have been more suitable.

She did the introduction with Adam and a couple of solo interviews, and spoke to several correspondents, kind of providing a headlines sequence throughout the show. Adam hosted the main debates and interviews, and probably had less airtime than Sarah actually.

I thought Sarah was actually pretty good. Adam basically conducted the interviews with the main guests while Sarah did the main news and talked to correspondents. Nice to see the double headed opening and close though.

The use of TV screens throughout Boulton & Co was very CNN/iDesk in my opinion. A great show.

Indeed, it was very much reminiscent of Sky News Today 2003-2005, was superb show, shame they didn't fork out in some rearranged music for the show, the graphics and overall presentation is rather nice too! Interesting to see the Westminster office is rather open plan, with just typical security glass barriers at the entrance? Obviously theres other building security doors etc, but still rather open to the rest of the building!

Lost The Remote
It was a very slow start on Monday. Audience figures were 39,000 (0.5%). The previous Monday The Live Desk had 41,000 (0.5%).

The anoraks on here might like the shots of the newsroom etc but viewers as a whole don't particularly care for it.

It looks quite good from the stills above (thanks, ginnyfan). Creative use of a newsroom and pres area. Thank goodness they also have a proper desk!

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned, but Sky News are to produce the Queens Christmas Message to the Commonwealth for this year and 2012, alternating with the BBC and ITN.

In place of the other top stories read by the bulletin presenter on Afternoon Live, Kay is presenting them from the newswall with pictures appearing in a box on the wall behind her.

They certainly seem to be using the newswall a lot of Afternoon Live today.

Anyone know how, "Murnaghan" has done in the ratings the past 2 weeks?

Thanks; Smile
