How come the Libya Programme is being shown again tonight instead of the NewsWheel?

It's on again twice at the weekend.

Looks like more Sky News cost cutting to me, reducing the number of hours of live news by 4 (inc. 2 repeats of Bluebird) this week alone.

Do you reckon its cost cutting or are they working on something technical..?

Just watched Martin now....output feels very disjointed this evening.

The cost savings can't be that great from showing the odd repeat here and there instead of the newswheel can they?

Has anyone else noticed that after midnight the graphics seem to always go wrong almost like the people controlling them don't know what they are doing?

I saw a name Aston come up with just the bottom line of text meaning there was a gap between the Arizona shootings slug and the Name of the person speaking

Then a few moments later the normal aston came on with half of a word chopped off the end of the top line and this time there was a gap between the top line of text and the ticker where the second line of text should have been, I have noticed this occurring a lot after midnight when there is breaking news, Never used to happen

I hope that makes sense if not I apologise as I can't get any screenshots to show what I'm trying to say

Yes I've seen that too. They always seem to struggle with 'Breaking News' graphics after midnight. And it annoys me that they leave the ticker on exactly the same breaking news all night, and sometimes into the first hour of Sunrise.

That will be worth a watch; although I expect both of them will try to outdo each other in the fake niceness stakes.

Catherine Jacob back reporting today, haven't seen her for what must be a year or so.

Doesn't appear to be 'Environment' any more.

My guess would be there is no dedicated producer for taking care of things like that overnight, so it may get forgotten about.

Interview with Adam in The Observer,

I think the picture of him in the Millbank studio illustrates why they should have shown more of the newsroom on Murnaghan last week, it looks great.
