Yes, god knows what they're thinking with this new look weather. Grey all over... a white outline for the UK, and a series of unexplained colours moving across the map with irregular shading in parts? The weather graphics haven't been particularly good for about a decade, but these are a new low.

Ultimate question has to be: How on earth is anybody able to follow this "forecast"? It kind of looks like the country's been flooded.

The irony is the weather on the website is very much old school but at least you can get an idea of what's going on.

Yet everyone slags off ITV Weather for its "old school" style..!

I think the only real problem with Sky News' new weather graphics is the colours. It's all just a bit too blue.

Do sky news join CBS news at night?

They show the CBS Evening News twice overnight - firstly at half past midnight which I think is the East Coast version; if it is the east coast version it will be an hour old when Sky News show it. The CBS Evening News is then repeated once overnight at 02.30 on weekdays and on weekends I think the repeat is at 05.30

Sometimes they don't show it without changing the schedule and there doesn't even seem to be a breaking story or something noticeable to be a reason

I think its to do when they record overnight, so they can record a full hour at midnight, and rerun it overnight. Seems to happen a lot these days, maybe they have reduced the overnight service?

Noticed they have tweaked the weather graphics slightly and moved the day and time back to the top right of the screen, 1 problem now is it covers up the temperature of the place at the top of the map lol

Latest amendment on the Sky Programme Information site says that when Dermot takes over the Sunday morning show it will be renamed 'Murnaghan' and will begin on January 9th.

Another interesting line in the amendment is that it says that on January 9th 'News, Sport and Weather is live from Studio A'. Probably nothing but seems a bit odd to state that.

Amendment can be found a few columns down on this page,

Details regarding Boulton and Co and any other possible changes have not yet been added.

Problems with Sky News at 1am, Phillipa Hall started reading the headlines whilst we were stuck on a static snow scene image and then it cut to something showing the weather and headlines

A good start to Christmas day at Sky. Let's hope it stays off air until Kay Burley's shift is over.
