That's Sky News Australia - Bendigo is in Victoria.

Doesn't Sky News New Zealand opt out in a similar way Ireland did from Sky News UK Confused

Sky News NZ is a simulcast of Australia apart from when they opt out in the evening for NZ Prime News and a weekly news programme on Friday and Saturday afternoons.

Couple of interesting bits of information on Twitter:

- Not getting enough Adam Boulton? In the New Year he'll have a new show every weekday at 1 on Sky News.
- From Jan, @AdamBoulton and @SkyHughes will present a new daily show: Boulton & Co, from 1-2pm.

Presumably this will come from the new Millbank studio. Looks like the death of at least half the Live Desk though. Less Colin Brazier is not good news, in my book.

1pm seems like an odd time for it to be shown but nice to see them shaking up the schedule a bit. Pleased for Sarah Hughes as well, although presumably her role will mostly be news summaries.

I do wonder whether they should be reducing Adam's role rather than increasing it, although I guess it will allow Joey Jones to report on the main political stories while Adam works on Boulton and Co, in addition to Sunday Live.

Perhaps the Live Desk will run from 9-11? I never really got the point of having it split between and hour at 9 and an hour at 1.

What would then happen to Sky News Today with Dermot?

Is Joey still Deputy Political Editor, as well as being Defence Correspondent? It will be interesting to see this Boulton & Co, although to me it sounds like an American show.

Interesting. I do like the idea of it though, it sounds very much like msnbc's show 'The Daily Rundown' which is presented by NBC's political correspondent.

I like the name 'Boulton & Co.' too.

It's currently used for the politics' blog on the Sky News website.

Surely they could have got a clean feed of Sky News AU? It's a national bulletin they were simulcasting, anyway. You can tell by the 'National' text after the Sky News logo.

Oh, thank you. I always get those two confused.

The 'National' bit after the Sky News logo is there as the full name of Sky News AU is actually 'Sky News National'. This is due to here in Australia, there are multiple Sky News channels and services (National/Business channels and Local/Multiview 'Red Button' services). Although, there is a clean feed of Sky News AU (with just lower-third straps) which is used for BigPond TV (IPTV series of channels)
