Sky News: Presentation Discussion

The Sun or one of the other daily rags has their weather supplied by Sky News. The logo is the old Red one and it states, 'Sky News Weather with Lucy Verasamy .' They changed it when Lisa Burke left, but haven't for her.

Odd. Sky TV soon changed the advert for Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes to replace Lucy's bit with Isobel. That was immediate.

Quite liked the background showing The City on the newswall when Martin was doing the half 7 news update from the desk. I was disappointed when SkyNews.com was axed but Jeff's show did work well as an hour long broadcast. Still think it's madness having Martin on NSW.

I swear they've started checking up here, today the weather section in 'The Sun' read: The Weather, in association with 'Sky News'.

Probably for the best. It went from Lisa to Lucy to Isobel in such a short time that it is probably best to put it like that in case of any more personnel changes.

Good debate on Sky now about the Catholic Church.

I agree, a good debate and nice to see them not going to a break at the end, continuing the debate through until the 9PM TOTH.

News, sport , weather coming from the newsroom backdrop tonight.

Superb debate from Sky, and it was very nice not having the TOTH breaks. I liked NSW coming from the Live Desk view as well, it was more interesting than the same-old gallery view.

Just wondering where I need to go to get some actual news today....

Apparently they will round up the non-Pope related news between 8 and 10 tonight.
