Nice new shot from above of the main desk. I think it could be better lit though, it seems a bit dark, especially the rails that go around the back of the desk.

When watching either the SD or HD channel for a while, it's easy to forget the lower third is different on each.

Looking forward to seeing the news centre in full swing over the weekend and next week, along with those new panels from Monday.

Stephen's back in the newsroom for the midnight news.

Anyone else notice the lack of Burley today and last night? A clear demotion from 05.

I wonder if any high profile presenters are presenting over the weekend?

I’d hardly consider it a demotion. She was based at the Prime Minister’s constituency. I'd argue there was hardly any Burley, Thompson or Botting last night. Perhaps they’ll rethink that idea next election. Of the OB presenters, I’d say that Anna Jones in Birmingham probably got the most screen time.

As for your second question, never fear, lots of Kay this weekend I believe.

Not sure about the new headline bed. Lacks gravitas.

It's Sky News - they employ Kay Burley. "Gravitas" is hardly the first thing that springs to mind when you think of them.

I'm not sure about the new temperature graphics on the Newswall - they aren't as clear as they used to be.

After watching the election coverage perodically on Sky News (when World was showing something else), I would like to retract the comments I made about Adam Boulton after his Leaders Debate anchor spot. I thought he was pitiful during that debate, but as someone else so rightly corrected me after my comments, I can see now that Adam indeed isn't a big anchorman autocue typa guy. His coverage of the election in the last few days (especially the sprint from Downing Street to the Cameron speech yesterady) made me realise that his specialty is dealing with the news behind the news, if you know what I mean! He clearly has his finger on the pulse and I enjoyed watching Adam presenting for the last couple of days.

New look: the breakfiller in my region has almost zero music anymore. It's so tame it's almost not there. Overall, I like the new look so far!

I would love to know how much Sky News have spent over the last 12 months or so. Some major projects have been delivered...

HD Upgrade
Sky News Leaders Debate
Election Night coverage

Must of cost a pretty penny!

WTF where is Saturday Live with Chris?

Kay Burley on location in Westminster seems pretty pointless to me as there aren't likely to be many developments today.

I don't like the headlines bed, and on Monday on HD we are going to see unneccessary clutter on the right, so make the most of this weekend.

Loads of meetings going ahead today though, so you never know. Although I'm sure Chris would have been just as affective from Sky News Centre.

Kay keeps giving it the HD name - I haven't seen anyone else call it that since the launch.

Yes they went very quiet on the HD front didn't they after launch. I think Kay's just calling it Sky News HD off her own back, but I wouldn't be surprised if it became the norm.
