I would have liked Joey to move into the role as Chief Political Correspondent with Jon Craig taking the Deputy Political Editor. He is vastly more experienced than Joey and he is more of an authoritive figure. I'm sure his role in Sky News will not change though with him sticking to the 7-12 at night time normally.
Lots of plugs for Sky News Active this evening. They haven't done that for a while. It has the full interview with David Rathbone, an interview with David Beckham and the complete Iraq Inquiry programme. It hasn't been used like this in ages and certainly hasn't been mentioned on air this much for years.

Probably just a coincidence that the BBC announced significant cuts to its News multiscreen service this week... (Moving to out-of-vision presentation with the loss of two posts, with in-vision presentation only when the BBC Three 60 Seconds presenter is available)

Are these not just titles that have little meaning in practical terms.

Yes I agree with you, Joey Jones is probably more appealing and interesting to watch on tv but Jon Craig deserves to be in a higher position than Joey as he has alot more experience and has been covering politics much longer than Joey has.
Why on earth are Sky News leading with the Apple story? It's not that big.
On the BBC it is well down the pecking order- didn't get to it until 27 minutes past the hour after Sutcliffe, BP, etc.
maybe the guy who decides the running order on sky news, complete with his media studies degree from demontford university has an iphone 4 and is just interested in the story ? (just like he's interest in anything to do with david beckham)?
Sky News Australia has apparently updated their graphics package and changed some aspects of their studio. Big few weeks for them with the launch of ABC News 24 next week on July 22nd.
