With Emma Crosby leaving GMTV is there any chance of her returning to Sky or is she getting a spot on ITV News? I guess she may be too expensive for Sky now even if they could find her a place in the schedule.

It would be nice to have Emma back. Michael Wilson returned to Sky News after he 'failed' at GMTV. I don't suppose her fee would have to be high though.

I think Sky take a pretty hard line on people who leave. They seem to think we're living in 1960s Berlin and going to a competitor is akin to defecting in the Cold War. I've heard that - as a point of principle - Sky wouldn't take back anyone who left them after Setanta went bust. Of course, a single big-name presenter is probably different from production staff - in their eyes at least.

Those videos show that the reporters hear the news from the producer in the gallery. It's not other way round. Kinda pointless having reporters.

That's mainly updating the reporters on what is happening on a fast breaking news day and what the latest lines from other reporters have been, so as to avoid repetition. Most of the information is sourced from other reporters somewhere along the foodchain.

Cool video. Does anyone have a link to anymore "behind the scenes" type promos?

Urgh @ Burley 9'01" - "Joining us now is David Cameron, thanks very much for joining us here on Sky News Mr Cameron... so... happy bunny today?"

"Happy bunny"?

Urgh. Just urgh.

Thought it was good to see the director/producer pulling her up on it and saying they needed to take a harder line.

True, but did you notice she disregarded the direction and instead congratulated him on the winning of the seat (which the director had said, "we should give him that").

I guess she only does the tough stance on protesters and Peter Andre. Shocked

No Jeff Randall tonight, "due to technical problems". I think he is off this week anyway, it was Anna Jones yesterday. Looks like Matt Smith (who also did skynews.com) is going to do an extra half hour of News, Sport, Weather.

Anyone else noticing sound ever so slightly ahead of picture on the HD channel?

The HD Channel is every so slightly behind from the SD channel anyway. Flicking from SD to HD you see a few seconds of what you saw just before on SD.

Agreed. But I was talking about lip sync.

I don't think Emma Crosby would be too expensive for Sky. I don't think shes worth that much after her performance on GMTV. Sky could afford names like Eamonn Holmes and Dermot Murnaghan, so I don't think someone like Emma Crosby would be a problem money-wise.

A good few weeks for Paula fans on Sky, I think she has presented every day since last Monday except on the Thursday I think?

However I thnk the appropriate word in the above is COULD. Sky COULD afford Eamonn and Dermot a few years ago - but I'm not sure they would be able to now... After all they've got their internal HD loan to repay...
