They seem to be using a dog with no clock, like used at TOTH. Does anyone know why?

It's not really a new dog is it?

They're probably just having problems with their clock software.

Yep.... just one of those things that happens at Sky News occasionally. Nothing to write home about.

It's about the only tech problem they have nowadays, Sky News normally runs like clockwork.

The ticker has been particularly dreadful lately. Often, the masthead flips around beneath the Tower with the wrong title on. I've seen "SPORT" flip round, then off; then "SPORT" flips round then back off scren again; then "HEADLINES" flips round, the blue ticker bar appears, then disappears, and the masthead rolls out again, before finally it succeeds in showing the headlines ticker.

Business tickers have also been misbehaving lately, repeatedly flipping around to show "BUSINESS" on every side, regardless of whether the ticker is scrolling business headlines, market index data, or share prices.

And the issue of too much text being entered into the information line on the astons continues every day.

Pretty poor show considering the graphics package has been in use over a year now.

You are quite BBC LDN, I would agree on many of the points you have addressed in your reply, I can only guess that they are still some teething problems with the new TOG software, as it was near perfect with the old TOG system, I only say this as the new TOG system has not been rolled out to BBC World as yet.

The ticker still animates yellow which finishes in that charcoal colour, that really does need sorting as well, so there's very much room for improvement.
