Here is mine- 23/07/2004 11:30am
Did anyone see sky news today at 11:30am. The Sky News announcer said- Sky News with Steve Dixon and Sheile Janstone (excuse spelling!). Then julie sad "ah for goodness-" They cut it there and went to Martin at the newswall where he said "Well Julie is down in the newsroom and I'm Martin at the Newswall" and continued as usual.

Well there was this time not so long ago when they changed the opening sequence to this really dull and ugly globe...

I love it when Sky News blunder because they are just so arrogant. It's like watching the playground tart strutting around with loo paper stuck to her shoe.

On Thursday 22 July at 7.30pm Sky News spelt the most famous university in the world: HAVARD.

On Friday morning, July 23rd Sky boasted with breaking news that Peter Mandelson had been appointed EU Commissioner.
Peter Mandelson was actually only nominated - his appointment is subject to an EU Parliament vote in November.

And of course who can forget this from Media Guardian:

"Upstanding moral guardian Richard Littlejohn shocked his literally millions of viewers on Sky News last week when he let slip a filthy four-letter aberration. A Sky News spokeswoman explained: "The opening of Richard Littlejohn's show is normally recorded and this was the case last night. Unfortunately, the wrong version of this opening tape was played out: it contained a "fluff" by Richard followed by the "F word". This version should have been erased and replaced with the right one, but because of technical . . ." Well, you can guess the rest. Littlejohn in four-letter shocker? You couldn't make it up."

I remember a few months ago, when we had the floods here in North Wales, they spellt Llanrwst as LLANWRST.

Easy mistake to make, I suppose, seeing as the production team aren't likely to be welsh, but they were in the area at the time.

Bloody hell - and it's not as if "Hull" is such a hard word to spell any way.

I trust, in the light of recent press articles, they will not be requiring the services of Alison Bell again? Now to use her was a blunder.
