I believe it was meant to be Catherine of Aragon - but no, wait, she's on maternity. Hmm. Let me check her diary.
Just looked at Steve Dixons Twitter:
So is Gillian doing Live at Five or is Steve?

I noticed there's been no QATAR Airways ads today. Did their sponsorship deal with Sky weather run out?
It feels somehow strange without them I must say.

1st June does seem like a likely date for that to happen - so probably!
It will be interesting to see how long this lasts though - sponsorship deals for the weather can prove to be lucrative spots. (Let's bloody hope it isn't Sheila's Wheels or something similarly ridiculous.)
On a different note, Sky News have just issued a press release regarding their coverage of the upcoming local/European elections that are happening from June 4th to June 7th - the coverage culminates on the 7th with a four-hour programme anchored by Adam Boulton: 'Decision Time Europe' will air from 8pm to 12am.

[Decision Time: Friday 05 June:- Sky Today 10.00 - 13.00; The Live Desk 13.00 - 14.00; Afternoon Live with Kay Burley 14.00 - 17.00. Decision Time Europe (with Adam Boutlon): Sunday 07 June:- 20.00 - midnight]
Sky News has announced its extensive plans for covering the forthcoming Local and European elections. Sky News will bring viewers round the clock coverage of what will be the first tangible test of public opinion since the start of the expenses scandal that continues to shake the political world.
During what could end up being the three days that decide the future of Gordon Brown and his government,
Sky News will have all the latest results information, as it happens. From the moment the first council is elected to the completion of the new European Parliament line-up, Sky News will bring you in-depth analysis, instant reaction and insight into UK General Election projections, the wider political impact of the two elections and the effect of the results on each of the UK’s top three political party leaders.
Local elections
A special day of programming – ‘Decision Time’ – airs from 10.00 on Friday 05 June, and will see Sky News Political Editor Adam Boulton, and presenters Kay Burley and Colin Brazier, present live coverage throughout Sky Today (10.00 – 13.00), The Live Desk (13.00 – 14.00) and Afternoon Live (14.00 – 17.00). As well as bringing viewers all the breaking news from the local election, ‘Decision Time’ will feature a host of live reactive interviews and expert analysis and Sky News’ team of experts will deliver General Election projections based on the results as they come in. Sky Correspondents based around the UK will also be delivering results news and local reaction from the key counts.
European Elections
On Sunday 07 June, from 20.00 until midnight, Adam Boulton will anchor ‘Decision Time Europe’ live from Sky News’ studio in West London. Adam and guests will dissect the results of the European elections, examining whether British voters have dealt a devastating blow to the big political parties, while Sky’s correspondents will again be stationed at key counts across the country and Sky’s Europe Correspondent Alex Rossi will be live in Brussels with news of the way the rest of Europe has voted.
Online
Skynews.com will also be first for breaking election news on the web, bringing all the analysis of Sky News’ correspondents and team of experts to bear online. Skynews.com will be aiming to carry more on-demand video clips than any other UK site and an interactive graphic will deliver the results from across the UK and Europe.
In addition, Skynews.com has partnered with leading public relations and communications firm Burson-Marsteller to receive exclusive feeds from ‘TweetElect09’. For the first time in a major election, Skynews.com will be able to give a unique insight into how the politics of the night is playing out within the web community. Visitors to the site will be able to track the stories of the night via Twitter, can keep an eye on the most tweeted candidates per party, the most talked about parties and the hottest election topics.
And for those not near a TV or computer, people can still keep up-to-date wherever they are through Sky News mobile phone alerts, jumbo screens on train platforms and city centre digital screens in London and Manchester as well through Sky News’ newly launched, free-to-download, iPhone and iPod Touch service.

Im probably wrong but is it perhaps because of the missing Air France plane incident? If im not mistaken in the past when there is an air-tragedy or something of the sorts they do not show the Qatar Airways spots.

Did anyone see Anna interviewing the wife of a man onboard the Air France plane. She handled it really well and was almost reduced to tears by the end of the interview

It was the same back in 2006 when the news broke over the airline terror plots and then again with the Glasgow airport attacks.

Its all happening at the Sky News centre today. Three major news stories all breaking at once and have all got great coverage and Colin did a great job of breaking them at the live desk.

Ah ok, I did consider that possibility but felt it odd for news channels to be so sensitive over such matters given some of the content. I guess they must have a clause in the contract which says they are allowed to drop them when the news agenda renders them inappropriate.
