I think sky have treated Michael Wilson appallingly in recent times. He was on the tv a lot less and was only really used when interest rates were due to come out. He was not even Jeff Randalls number two whan Jeff was not presenting.

Ginny Buckley's Harold Pinter blooper has made its way to Hollywood, although there's no explicit mention of her or Sky News.

Just back from seeing Synecdoche, New York. At the beginning of the movie, the main character reads a newspaper and says: "Harold Pinter died. Oh wait, no he didn't. He won the Nobel prize." Laughing

Is Lorna Dunkley running the channel single-handedly this weekend or something? All the times I've tuned into Sky News she's been on; Live at Five yesterday, Sunday Live this morning, Weekend Lunchtime as usual.

Watched the live desk today. Steve Dixon did an excellent job and imo he should be up for a bigger week day slot in the future

Agreed. Mark Longhurst and Steve Dixon both deserve better slots.

Just turned to Sky News to see a live two way with Sara Merchant from the Foreign Office. A girl was standing behind her waving at the camera, she walked away and then came back on and just as she was about to wave again a man (crew member?) chased her off causing her to shout ARRRGGH really loudly. I'm sure it would have better to just let her wave. Did anyone else see this and better yet capture it?

EDIT: Turns out I captured some of it. This is from the moment that that girl was about to wave again. I didn't notice the guy swearing until I watched it again.

I'd still like to see the whole thing again if anyone has it.

Very impressed at how well Sara Merchant managed to continue unphased during that. You'd hardly blame her if she got distracted by it - consider this clip (scroll to 1:05 and listen to the reporter, although to be fair what was said to him was a bit more concerning!)

Or here's what happens when they get physically attacked: as seen on air - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGn0u_XlLcw , and what happened off camera - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHTuD5LKVRQ

Sky News clip is funny, that man didn't have to chase her.

Other clips are scary. Shocked Shocked Shocked

There's also a video of CNN's Pedro Pinto with football fans sipping bear on him.
