Does anyone else find it totally bizarre that the EPG was changed again tonight for Gillian covering the late shift. Sky never change the EPG when a different presenter is standing in for any shift, yet they have done it on a Monday night for the past few weeks.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into it....??

'Sky Sources' reporting that Michael Martin to resign. Excellent scoop if it's true. Highly embarrasing if it's not. The BBC News Channel still asking people to text in to let them know whether they think he should resign.

Edit: BBC News now reporting it.

BBC and ITV are quoting STV as a source for this news which is nice to see a regional broadcaster break the news.

Sky seem to be of the opinion that Joey Jones broke the story. Anyways once again very good coverage from Sky,Anna Botting doing a great job anchoring the big breaking story.

What is the point of putting together a programme format that has to be broken every time there's breaking news? Surely on a 24/7 news channel that is 'first for breaking news', the programme formats should be able to cope with this?

"The Live Desk is open" is, I think you'll find, the correct terminology. Wink
