I think its because Andrew Wilson is presenting live from Dewsbury bringing non-stop coverage of the MP's Expenses - so the news updates are still on to round up the other news of the day.

Lets home Andrew doesn't make it back to the sky news centre!

Good stuff on Live at 5,if not a bit sensationalist.

the background seems to keep changing to the live desk one during the ad breaks.

Thank you.

I thought there was a site around with a larger, higher res webcam image of the studio?

Great interviews with politicians this week. Carrie Grace was left very shaken after one interview. Equally good was Dermot Murnaghan's interview with Margaret Beckett which he easily won. This is what makes good news.

Looks like they are going to make the Live Desk more like Fox's version. Hope Sky don't make the format complicated though like the rest of the schedule.

What is the Live Desk rated compared to other programmes on Sky News?

After watching Andrew Wilson presenting on loaction, I can see why he was moved to Sky Centre. No stumbling and all in all a very watchable two hours at lunchtime anyway.

Or indeed less like the Fox version, as the case may be! Wink
Fox have anchored their version from the newsroom for about a year now.

By the way. I know it's not really talked about much, but I think it's a real shame that Live at 5 didn't keep some of it's original 2005 features such as 'Nationwide'. Although the cube was stupid, it would have been nice to make the flagship bulletin, a little bit more flagship.

Fox's 'The Fox Report w/ Shepard Smith' celebrated their 9th birthday last year.

I love Shepard. If you haven't seen some of his videos, go check them out.
