I emailed Paul Bromley last night about Sky's excellent Budget coverage and asked him about the changes to Afternoon Live:

Quote:
As for the format of Afternoon Live, there are plans to use more parts of the studio and newsroom in the presentation of the programme. Keep watching.

they are taking their time considering these plans.............less talk more action needed!!!!

Disappointed with Anna Botting last night. Let that odious little git Kelvin McKenzie get away with absolute murder including swear, jest about the PM killing himself and generally churn out a party political broadcast for the Tories. For the most part Anna could barely contain her laughter although did force him to apologise shortly after his dubious suicide comment, when prompted in her ear.

Nigel Nelson contributed very little to counter it, even when Kelvin started slamming The Mirror (he works for its sister paper The People) for daring to put a positive spin on the budget.

Hysterical commentary took over with little or no objectivity. I'm sure more intelligent reflections could have been found on CBBC's Newsround.

Didn't see that. But their coverage on Wednesday seemed pretty right wing to me. Especially in an interview Adam Bolton did with someone from Labour, can't remember her name. But he shouted her down every time she tried to answer and kept on talking over her. Reminded me a bit of Bill O'Reilly, so I turned it over to BBC News!

So how often have you seen a sports presenter move to a main anchors position, and then show up as a business presenter?

The very versatile Sarah Jane Mee on the business updates this afternoon.
