I did not agree with the excessive coverage but ratings wise coverage of Jade's Funeral certainly payed off for Sky.

I think best put it down to people waiting for them to show some actual bloody news!
On to real national tragedies, and probably more applicable to Sky Sports News than Sky News, but all the news channels were guilty of it. I thought in the past for things like memorial services news channels often removed as much junk as possible from the screen. I'm sure in the past when SSN has covered the Hillsborough anniversary they've gone full screen with just a DOG, rather than keeping the usual graphics on screen.

She's been in the post a couple of months now, though is still doing some general news reporting as well. Shame she doesn't do any presenting any more
Going to those viewing figures, a good week for Sky. Obviously there was a G20 boost but all the top 10 was over 100,000. I think some weeks no one show gets over 100000
Looks as though Orla Chennaoui is Sky's Olympic corespondent.

Sky seem to have had one of their periodic reshuffles of foreign correspondents, which would explain why Alex Rossi is now being billed as ‘Europe Correspondent’. The Sky Publicity site now lists Alex as Europe Correspondent, with Greg Milam moving to become one of the Washington correspondents. This would seem to suggest that one of Robert Nisbet or Michelle Clifford will move from the States, and oddly Robert’s biography has reverted to his old Environment Correspondent details. The site doesn’t mention who will be the new Moscow reporter.

How did Sky cover the disaster in 1989? They were only on air a couple of months, it must have been one of their first major stories.

I think somebody said a few pages back that Amanda Walker was going out to Moscow.

LOL- Nadine Dorries MP just got bumped mid-Brown bashing session for...wait for it...Gordon Brown speaking in Glasgow.
That's got to hurt.

I reckon that Greg Milam is going to Washington when Adam Boulton returns to England

Is it just me or is Sky News getting boring again!
It seem to get a new lease of life when it got the new look/studio but has became flat and boring again!
Presenters seem to pop up anywhere, Anna Jones a respected News Anchor, reduced to a business prsenter but not good enough to fill in for Jeff Randel??? Steve Dixon is more often on Sky News Today on a Friday than his own titled broadcast on a Friday evening.
Anna Botting has also spent more time on other broadcasts than her own! Why title the broadcast with the presenters name and have someone else presenting it 70% of the time? I don't understand.
