Superb stuff keeping Martin on for NSW.

Also the top story has quite rightly been given over to the Aberdeenshire helicopter crash.

It was also the top story Live At 5. Sky News at it's best today and continuing to close the gap on BBC News in the latest BARB figures.

From what I saw Sky News was superb today, and right in the heart of the action too - while BBC News seemed a bit distant at the times I watched. Was also quite surprised today they decided to take the 1pm news - I'd have thought today's events would have warranted News 24 continuing with rolling coverage.

Agreed, thought the coverage today was great - seemed as though they had cameras everywhere at one stage. Although I'd question the point of the Skyboat, not a lot was happening on the banks of the Thames!

Sky now reporting that a protestor has died in today's protests. BBC covering sport.

I hear Sky had some fancy new toys today in action for the first time but they didn't quite work which is why we were left with such low quality images for large parts of the protests.

'Not for us to worry about' Rolling Eyes

You're right, a helicopter did crash off the coast of Scotland, and 19 people are dead, but what more do you need to know than that? There isn't much else to the story really is there?? In fact I was quite disappointed when News At Ten decided to make it their main headline last night.

I hate to be a moaning minnie, but could you try and use punctuation and capital letters when you post. I found it hard to read those last two comments.

There were some good zoom in shots from the Skycopter though. Agree though about the fancy new toys not working, as shown very clearly in their coverage of the RBS branched being broken into

^ Anna Jones is no longer a news presenter. She replaced Emma Crosby (GMTV) on the hourly business updates Monday to Thursday.

Not sure Steve Dixon would fancy the graveyard shift either!
