A strip of red carpet has been added to the newswall/steps. Looks a lot better! It seems to have been widened to be aligned with the end of the steps down to the floor now.

I dont think anyone can grudge the presenters their time off etc.

But Sky just need a little consistency while presenters are off.....like last week The Live Desk had 4 different presenters. Maybe they couldn't get someone to cover the show all week but surely they could have got maybe 2 people to cover the week.

how do you know this? how do you know the exact working patterns and employment contracts of sky news and show different shifts work? it really does verge of stalkerish levels which is why there is so much distain from many members on the subject

Any ideas what the little triangular bit in front of the red carpet is for?

I was just making the point that there was much chopping and changing and maybe Sky could have tried to get someone sitting in for Colin all week opposed to somebody different every day, of course this may not have been possible.

Not the full length, but yes - a very good suggestion.

Can tell you're a singer!

Afternoon Live is losing it's identity every day, now the voiceover doesn't even say the name of the program.

Why is it that the current management at Sky cant stick to anything? Even in 2005,if they had stuck with the ATV programming a bit longer it might have all come together.

I just dont understand what has happened to AL and why bother go to all the effort with the newswall and island etc. a few weeks ago, only to have a complete re-think.

Isn't the Triangular bit so people don't fall or trip off the newswall platform. Health and Safety don't you know...

Umm, guardrails are usually a little higher off the ground. In fact, if anything I would call this a trip hazard!

They could re-name Afternoon Live "Kay-reoke"?

3pm TOTH.........no "This is Afternoon Live with....." or even the AL logo on the newswall. It just felt as if I was watching another hour of SNT.

Its a shame because AL was so good last week, making use of the studio etc.
