Presenters all over the place again today. Samantha on Live Desk and Anna Botting on Sky News Today. Wonder who's doing Sky News at 10?

Maybe Chris Roberts for N@10?

Just wondering, does anyone know whereabouts in the newsroom the "Live Desk" comes from? And is there a permanent camera position etc. set up?

Thanks. BTW Martin Stanford now on Twitter

Yes, a permanent setup to the right of the newsroom, if you take the newswall as north. Its under the 2nd floor, you will notice its slightly darker where the camera is. Directly in line with the desk looking towards the gallery area, obviously covered by the strip neons.

Thanks for that.

Interesting to see Samantha talk to Tim Marshall at the Live Desk this morning,it was quite noisy in the background!

On another note seems to be a few minor changes on the website, the text seems smaller and grey is being used instead of black on some of the headings.

Looks as though the Afternoon Live change is permanent. It would appear they want it to mirror the format of Sky Today.

I really hope today is not a false dawn and that it is a turning point for Sky News.

Yeah, I get what you mean - hope that they're not just doing everything to try and impress on the first day, and will keep up the quality.

Hate to say it but it looks as though it may have been a false dawn,I have been watching today and it is quite dull with a ridiculous amount of ad breaks. And why they have moved AL to the desk is beyond me,why bother go to all the effort for one week and then just have a complete change of heart?

I'm surprised Eamonn wasn't off Sunrise this week seeing as he's also doing This Morning every day. Are the Sky News/ITV studios quite close together because he literally only has 90 minutes spare between both shows?

Not very close together at all. He has to travel half-way across London. He lives in Surrey too so his carbon footprint, as you might expect, must be massive.

Colin Brazier covering Jeff Randall Live all week.

Colin Brazier on Jeff Randell Live. Couldn't Sky have used a business specialist such as Anna Jones instead. Colin may be a good presenter but its a business show, not a general news show

Totally agree. He barely ever presents his own show The Live Desk now because he's busy covering on Live at Five, Sky News Today, Sunday Live and now Jeff Randall's show. He gets all the best gigs on the station in fact. Don't get me wrong, Colin is OK, but he is overused and I feel for the other presenters who are just as capable and don't have a high profile slot like he does already.

Poor Anna. I was sure she would be the regular cover for Jeff. Obviously not Sad

Why can't Colin just do Live Desk which is supposed to be his show???
Sky's scheduling issues continue no matter the revamp of the set. Also bringing AL to main desk is a terrible decision. Why ruin the most unique show they had???

I agree about Anna Jones, she should be on Randall's show.

I just don't understand this inconsistency. What are all of those anchors doing with so many breaks and holidays. It's like they can't work 2 full weeks without someone going on a break. It's not like they have some other shows to do or something in the production.

Just look at CNN, most of their anchors have a news show plus a special program and they appear on air every day.
