Well we should know by now Sky loves doing that, in fact all UK news channels lack presenters consistency very much.

Well I wouldn't have put my money on Tim to be covering presenting duties (expect Sunday Live) - must be pretty bad a SN this week.

But credit where credit's due - he actually did a good job!!

Just wondering,does anyone know whereabouts in the newsroom the "Live Desk" comes from? And is there a permanent camera position etc. set up?

Yes, a permanent setup to the right of the newsroom, if you take the newswall as north. Its under the 2nd floor, you will notice its slightly darker where the camera is. Directly in line with the desk looking towards the gallery area, obviously covered by the strip neons.

On the dot com show, the gallery shot behind Martin Stanford, is a screen displaying a live shot of the news centre from the Messy-nine i mean Mezz

Interesting that for pre-recorded vox pop interviews are now being filmed in meeting rooms/areas surrounding the main Sky News Centre, looks great!
