My guess is those panels will only be shown at peak time on the main shows. Which would explain why it says on the press release that they will start on Monday 10th. They will be talking about the election all day on the the 7th, and then it's the weekend when news is generally slower.

Depends how they end up using it, really, but it looks neat enough not to get in the way and could end up being useful. We'll find out in just over a week.

It may only be an example but that cap shows how pointless that sidebar will actually be. They're rarely of interest when they cross to shots of just one front door waiting for something to happen, never mind four!

They just seem information for the sake of information IMO. Some though are more useful than others and I think things like the business one and ones for the weather would by the sort of thing which offers information which can't really be relayed on the ticker.

I watched the Sky News Press Preview yesterday, and found Steve Dixon to be really unfair to the woman from the telegraph. He sided with Pro Tory and Pro Thatcher James Max to criticise every point she was trying to make.
