Any chance of a video of that?
Adam Boulton, perhaps playfully, suggesting his boss John Ryley should get a knighthood.

Yes, I thought it was just my box. Its not out by much, I can't even tell if the audio is ahead or behind but its just enough to be noticeable.
I think the audio is a fraction behind. I had hoped they would fix the prob whilst the debate was on...but no.
Watching on Sky News 501 SD it was massively out of sync for Dermot's stuff back stage. Really bad - almost looked like they were dubbed!

The lipsync seems way out on Sky News tonight..

I think that is a mistake on the EPG. Can't see why they would want to show 30 minutes of News/Sport/Weather before the big event.
Not necessarily - reporting restrictions mean that, once the polls open, pretty much the only political news you can broadcast is that the polls are open.
For reference, the BBC's Election Guidelines say:

News, Sport, Weather at 8.30pm next Thursday, is first programme on the EPG for Sky News HD.

Quote:
Polling day:
-
No opinion poll on any issue relating to the election may be published.
-
There will be no coverage of any of the election campaigns on any BBC outlet.
- It is a criminal offence to broadcast anything about the way in which people have voted in that election.

I'm sure they normally report on how the polls are going and what the turnout is like? Also, they show the leaders going to vote etc.

You're right, they do tend to show party leaders voting, though as I quoted above, "It is a criminal offence to broadcast anything about the way in which people have voted in that election." - so exit polls may not be broadcast until 10pm.

Why is Sky News able to start their election programme at 9 o'clock, an hour before the polls close if the BBC isn't?

The body language expert has become a regular now on Sky News. Lazy journalism. The BBC is not immune from this. Emily Maitlis spent yesterday asking guests about Gordon Brown's smile and this type of nonsense. The broadcast media hasn't addressed the economic issues at all in this campaign.

Theres nothing to say that the bbc can't start at 9 but there is very little point to it as reporting is limited until 10.
Sky typically use the first hour to map out their coverage for the evening ahead... which correspondent is where, introduce Martin in his virtual house of commons and so on...
