Kay in the rain in Birmingham for the final debate, bit of a crowd gathering behind her. Perhaps Dermot will present Live at 5 from there aswell.

Edit; Kay deciding to go to the students that were following her around, asking them not to swear! She is handling it very well in fairness to her.

She isn't happy with 'those kids' is she?

I've no idea why they didn't build a platform like they did for the other debates...bit of a mistake

Its weird how its so hectic around Kay yet on the BBC News Channel Emily Maitlis is in an oasis of calm by comparison.

I presume Dermot will be in the media centre later.

I haven't seen the BBC coverage, but is it because Kay is walking around?

I believe so. Kay is currently located outside the secured broadcasting area where Emily Maitlis is on the BBC. I imagine that Sky will be there or in the media centre from 5pm onwards.

So an indirect bid to push viewing figures up Cool

Students phone all their friends & family and tell them to watch Sky News so they can wave like idiots in the background! Laughing Laughing

I guess it was intended to be solely Kay in Birmingham but because of this court verdict in Nottingham they had to also rope in Sarah Hughes from 'sitting-in-the-studio-in-case-the-outside-broadcast-dies' duty to cover that bit of news.

Seems strange that JT isn't around today, don't think I have seen him since the Sky debate.

Indeed, Anna Botting and Colin Brazier have been covering Live at Five this week, from what I've seen anyway.

Sky News at Six was also anchored by Kay and Sarah, although the TOTH v/o merely mentioned "with Kay Burley in Birmingham".
