It really is remarkable how much Sky News has improved since last Wednesday,there is a feeling of a real buzz on screen that has been missing for a long time. If they are consistent with this I can see great things to come for SN.


Yeah - there is a "new energy" about Sky News since the studio revamp. The only thing they need to do now is tweak the on screen graphics - as they don't really fit the new studio look.

And I thought SkyNews.Com looked amazing tonight from the newswall tonight and it was topped off brilliantly with the interview taking place over at the production desks!!

She certainly is!!

Neither her or Eammon were on this morning. The team today was Mark Longhurst & Lukwesa Burak. It was nice to see Lukwesa getting some decent hours for once - she was brilliant on the Sunrise shift a few weeks back.

Wondered where she was on Sunrise this morning.

Much as I like Sky News, I can't see them getting much from that except the coveted news channel of the year, and probably the innovation award for Unplugged. Robert Peston must be a dead cert for scoop of the year and journalist of the year.

I did laugh seeing one of the production team browsing Facebook in the background. Classic stuff.

Not as many as normal really. Not being nominated for either of the News Coverage awards, home or international, must be a bit of a blow.

Second consecutive nomination on the trot for Emma Hurd though - second time lucky perhaps? Beaten by her colleague Alex Crawford last year of course.

Really enjoyed the Dot Com show,loved the stuff at the production desk.

I wonder why the sudden change of heart in relation to using the set fully,the newswall etc.?
