Not sure the ticker will be off. Knowing Sky News, I am not sure the straps will be off. They just won't be able to mention 'breaking news' from the debate itself.

That is exactly right: the ticker is allowed but it must not mention anything from the debate until it has concluded.

Yeah JT pointed out the hot air balloon going over, saying it was a marketing ploy to get people to invest in Bristol. Obviously not realising it had been hired by BBC Points West. Bit of a fluke with the timing by Points West to get the balloon to fly over the Arnolfini as their programme started, the wind must have been going in the right direction!

I will be watching in HD here, but I hope some of you quick cappers will see what changes, if any, show up on Sky News SD.

What are the screens in the media centre showing? Is it just a Sky set-top box tuned to channel 501 (with someone ready to turn to 517 just before 20:00) or a special ad-free feed? I've been trying to catch it in the background of the BBC News when Sky go to ads but I haven't been able to see it yet.

Talking of 517, what is it showing now? Still a countdown?

Wise move to change the logo now.

I don't have HD, but I imagine the outside shots will look much more impressive than the debate set, given the glorious evening sunshine in Bristol.
