That is exactly right: the ticker is allowed but it must not mention anything from the debate until it has concluded.
Yeah JT pointed out the hot air balloon going over, saying it was a marketing ploy to get people to invest in Bristol. Obviously not realising it had been hired by BBC Points West. Bit of a fluke with the timing by Points West to get the balloon to fly over the Arnolfini as their programme started, the wind must have been going in the right direction!
What are the screens in the media centre showing? Is it just a Sky set-top box tuned to channel 501 (with someone ready to turn to 517 just before 20:00) or a special ad-free feed? I've been trying to catch it in the background of the BBC News when Sky go to ads but I haven't been able to see it yet.
Talking of 517, what is it showing now? Still a countdown?
