does anyone else think the presenter pairings today could be a possible tester for any future schedule changes if any were to happen? If they are, I think they would work well.

I really don't see them retuning to double headed presentation, just more practical today as it helps with the flow of the coverage and ensures all the big presenters are involved.

Another behind the scenes just now with JT. Kay has a separate presentation area next to the one Jeremy has been using, we also got to see the inside the OB truck. Also a suggestion from Jeremy that they had 3D equipment on site aswell.

Brilliant coverage from JT and Anna - Jeremy did a great tour of the outside of theatre a few minutes ago, Anna's discussion about the Bristol barrage with some environmentalists was a good story, slightly away from the election.

Superb Live at 5 so far. Sky News at its best with Jeremy, Anna and Martin back in Sky centre. No complaints about the coverage today, top notch.

Happened to see some of the new graphics today from someone I know at Osterly. Very swish, animating in a similar style to the 'Sky News HD' zooming graphic seen on the theatre in Bristol last night. Some elements remind me very much of previous eras, along with hints of Sky Sports! Hard to explain but you'll see what I mean when its launched! The graphics are far more rich and deep in detail compared to the current lot!

I guess you didn't get any images? hehe.
Did he give any hints about when it will be launched?

So many tours of 'The State of the Art Bristol Media City', the HD crew in that cabin must be getting fed up with JT popping in and out all the time. Razz

JT managing to get a wave out of Kay Burley.

Anna Botting spotted Jermey Darroch, BSkyB chief exec in the media room just now.

Hope they don't repeat the mistake of previous HD events on Sky News and plaster the SD channel in HD plugs during the debate. Am I right in thinking they will have to turn the ticker etc. off?

Ha ha. I bet Sky News wish they thought of the BBC Points West Hot Air Balloon. It really adds nothing to the their coverage, but it reminds me of the Sky News Boat from a few years ago.

Tickers on, Straps off. Not sure if there is rules against political breaking news on the ticker...

If ever you needed another reason to turn off this circus, Jeremy Thompson calling the venue a "Debating theatre of dreams".

But I can't turn it off. It's kind of car crash TV.

Not sure the ticker will be off. Knowing Sky News, I am not sure the straps will be off. They just won't be able to mention 'breaking news' from the debate itself.
