Adam could afford to take a few months off after the election with the money he's earning for all these hours!

Any idea if he's working on an hourly rate or have they just said you'll get X amount?

Adam along with all the other senior presenters at Sky and all other major news outlets get paid a salary on a yearly basis. (I can't really imagine Adam, or Kay, or JT etc. going into Sky centre everyday and clocking in to work out their hours!)

For example, Carrie Gracie from BBC NC infamously announced her £92,000 a year salary in an interview (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6AnZLm2Zvg)

I would be extremely surprised if Adam was not compensated more than usual for his coverage in the coming weeks - he seems to be invincible!

Probably nothing but the website shot in the TOTH looked different, perhaps some changes to the website tomorrow?

So I would assume that a deal is reached (ie. JT does live at 5/5 times a week, x weeks holiday and he get x amount a year) but then would also get EXTRA for extra coverage - like when JT has been live in Calais this week.

But yes, Adam must be getting a lot more for his work the last few/coming weeks. He seems to be working 18 hour days/6 days a week. And then he must be going home and like someone said earlier, reading up on things - he must be shattered!

But I suppose he's enjoying all this about the election, so really he's getting paid A LOT to do something he enjoys

What we do know is that everyday after the debate some of the election related shows will be in HD. That's Election Live Desk, Randall and Boulton Unleashed, and the Boulton Factor/Press Preview. I suspect the schedule for the HD channel will be updated tomorrow to show what will be shown. Probably with a looping preview, or pre-recorded HD programming in between Live programming.

Hope Im wrong but I get a feeling the plan to show the other election shows, Boulton Factor etc, in HD has been dropped. After tomorrow I expect the next HD production to be election night.

Or the BBC debate next week (since the BBC are producing it in HD as well, and like Sky are making it available to other broadcasters).

I know when I voted for Labour last time, I was voting for Blair, hoping Brown wouldn't take over. But I have to give Labour credit for getting over the worst of this global recessions, and not doing what the Tories wanted, and in fact did in the previous two UK recessions. But this is a complaint against Pro-Tory bias, and the missing LibDem yellow.

Always irritates me how at the time the Tories used the slogan "Vote Blair, Get Brown" in 2005 but then of course one Brown came in complained he was an unelected PM - even though all our PM's are unelected (or elected, depending which way you want to look at it). Their scaremongering over a hung parliament is just pathetic too - indeed if we could vote in such a way a Lib-Lab coalition would be my preferred option.

Anyway, Sky News completely unwatchable today. I tuned in this morning just as they were crossing to sport - in which they spent five minutes discussing the debate betting odds before just giving two results from last nights football.

In two minds whether to watch tonight - not really bothered by tonight's debate and Sky have really irritated me in the way they've promoted it - but also I'd much rather see what they say for myself rather than the snippets and soundbites the rest of the media opt to show us.

Also considering Sky's holier than thou attitude about the terrestrials not screening it, did they ever actually screen the ITV debate themselves? I know they couldn't show it live, but I don't recall them showing it at any point over the weekend either.

ITV didn't let other broadcasters show it as far as I understand.

If you're interested. For an American take on the debates watch The Daily Show tonight on More4.

Not live, but they could show it afterwards.

With the big Ash story etc. it probably wasn't practical to repeat a debate that the best part of 10 million people had already seen. They did upload it onto the Sky Anytime service.

I stand corrected.

It's The curious lack of yellow on this one occasion.

Isn't the debate set design just an extension of their on-screen election graphics, which are based on the Union Jack and not specifically party colours?
