If the BBC Election coverage is on BBC HD then not much of it will actually be in HD - just the main studio.
To satisfy BBC Trust requirements at least 75% of the programme must be native HD.
That rule has been relaxed somewhat since they started HD. I would have thought that the election night programme wouldn't get under that threshold - very few, if any of the outside stuff would be in HD
