Seems Sky has lost the edge with this delay in the HD launch. We've already had the the first debate in HD on ITV.

With BBC HD also showing the Sky debate in HD and then next week doing their own in HD, I notice now that their main 'Election 2010' form 9.55pm on election night is also simulcast on BBC HD.

Was the ITV one made in HD?

If the BBC Election coverage is on BBC HD then not much of it will actually be in HD - just the main studio.

Yes, it was.

To satisfy BBC Trust requirements at least 75% of the programme must be native HD.

Really nice image there - it would be nice to see some studio changes though - but we'll wait and see. Smile

I hope the blue in the studio is colour matched to the new bluey/teal shades of the newswall graphic and the "glass plank tunnel" in the new ToTH and Graphics. if not, I hope the graphics are updated to match the studio at least. Also please no two blue tones in the graphics like at present.

I think Kay Burley should do a full show of Afternoon Live from the stairs!

An ad for election night on Sky News HD just ran on Sky Sports 1. Not much to it really, just a family standing outside their house followed by the Decision Time background with info etc.

Thanks for that, looks good. Certainly rolling the branding out early if there won't be a full launch till after the election, although there is yet to be conformation of a date. We are still on 'imminent'.
