If the BBC, ITN and CNNI wish to follow suit by getting an anchor to the scene, and in view of the current airspace restrictions, they would all need to send one of their US based correspondents.

The BBC have got Lorna Gordon to Iceland out of Glasgow. CNN sent National Correspondent Gary Tuchman

CNN's Aviation Correspondent (Richard Quest) is currently in New York as well, as opposed to his usual London newsdesk. Wonder if they'll fly Questie out to Iceland too??

Getting off topic now, but Richard doesn't seem to have played much part in the coverage

Is there another Steve Dixon around he might not want to be confused with?

I reckon the 'Stephen Dixon' change is probably just a matter of preference. Perhaps more people call him Stephen or he feels it sounds more authoritative, something like that.

Much like Philip Ray-Smith on ITV News I suppose (except the other way round), he was referred to as "Philip" up until last year when they started referring to him as "Phil" instead.

I think SNHD could launch on Friday 23rd April as based on Sky's programme guide, it is showing Randall & Boulton Unleashed in HD followed by Sky News at 11 in HD.http://data.skyprogrammeinformation.co.uk/wtv.php?chan=NEWB&week=346#

Any difference, Martin Stanford said the other week they were disassembling the studio around him.

Just saw Stephen Dixon on Sunrise this morning with the Sunrise set as background. Didn't think they had sunrise set on green screen but I must be wrong.

Sunrise is still coming from the main studio. The only programme not to be affected by the works - which is handy, since it is also the top rated slot at the moment.

As for the whole Stephen Dixon debacle - that's rather odd and going to take some getting used to. Anyone know as well why he is suddenly anti-Twitter? He used to use it all the time and had a fair few followers but then he suddenly left and now according to his new profile is only back for a short time to use it as a pre-election tool.

Stephen Dixon... It'll be strange for a while.
News at Seven is in Studio B, and the TOTH introduction only said "With Matt Smith".
