I felt sea sick with all the coming up next animation on screen this morning on Sky News. Not ideal Sunday morning coverage. Had to turn it off.

Can I just say the weather team are doing a fantastic job at the moment.

Particularly Lucy, Denise, Isobel and of course, Francis.

So good to see more of them on the channel during this cold and snowy weather. It would be nice if there was a dedicated weather slot because honestly any of them could pull it off well I think, particularly Isobel.

As for a timeslot - perhaps Fridays 7:30?

How about Jo Wheeler... She done a good backstage interview on Friday on Sky News Active. Did she do a double shift of Friday? I thought she on in the morning then late evening?

I think the weather on Sky is one of it's weakest links really, especially when done from the newswall. Everytime they show a forecast I never feel like I get any useful information out of it.

Agreed about the newswall, I felt it was so much better when presented from the CSO or even the large screen in the Sunrise set.

However Sky's excellent team of Weather presenters are doing a fantastic job at the moment.

And if I remember rightly somebody on here said that new weather graphics would be coming in the new year - does anyone know if there was/is any truth in that rumour?

Wasn't that 2007's rumour for Feb 2008??!

Probably because SKY News allocate such a small amount of time to the weather. I mean the .58 forecast is only about 1 minute 30 seconds long and it's hard for them to incorporate too much detail in that. On BBC News it varies but often they are around 3 minutes long.

Andrew Wilson anchoring Sky's BAFTA coverage this afternoon. Doesn't Kay usually cover this?

Mind you, it is Andrew's normal slot, or at least will be from 1700.

I think the main problem with the weather graphics is that they're quite hard to decipher. The cloud looks similar to rain sometimes, and the rain looks like snow - it all looks a bit messy.

Even going back a few years the graphics looked better, when the sunny parts of the country used to be coloured yellow - now there's just no colour there, and it all looks a bit dreary.

If Andrew was live on location who fronted Live at Five? Chris Roberts?

Steve Dixon was at the Sky News Centre, I too thought Kay normally covered the BAFTAs.

1630-1800 was a special Bafta programme with Live at 5 not starting until 6 (at least that's what my tv's EPG said). Caught a glimpse of Steve Dixon at about 6.45
