Apparently the test feed is now visible on a dreambox

Also, HD countdown to debate now visible on 517

Those images must be mock ups surely!? If they are the real HD grahics, they are awful! Confused Wink

why do you think they are awful?

Is it me or do the ticker letters lean towards the right side?

That first image reveals (part) of the new SD ticker and the new SD logo, but it really does look like a mock-up, purely because it is high definition quality.

I'm placing my money on "interlacing", which incidentally, the presense of which almost guarantees they're not a mock.

Hang on, look at the first image.

"David Cameron launches Conservative election manifesto"

I guess HD viewers will also be able to see the news 24 hours ahead of anyone else!

I too believe the interlacing is the issue, but didn't want to be presumptuous. I had hoped the new look would be more different to the current, but if it ends the silly hanging graphic elements as it seems is gone from the hd poster, it may be enough to make me re-evaluate. I am expecting a slightly darker graphic look when taking the logo red part in account, and the dark black and dusky blue colours in that gallery shot.

Well I was hoping for something a little different - and the font seems really small. I'm just too fussy! Wink

Here's what's on 517 at the moment:

Apologies for the slight wonkiness, that was from a camera, not a capture card..!

I think a small or cramped version of the regular font is likely to try and use as little space as possible for the straps, etc.

I believe that font is an edited version of the new sky corporate font, with the curves removed from the ends of the letters, and some of the straight diagonal lines now bowed with a slight curve.

I wonder who would get the Sunrise gig if Eamonn was to leave? Early morning starts aside, it certainly must be one of the most attractive slots to present at the moment in terms of ratings, format etc.

Obviously this being the Daily Mail I would take the article with a pinch of salt, but if it was to happen I wonder would they bring Emma Crosby back? She deserved to be treated better than just doing the business news before she left.

Hopefully Mark Longhurst or Chris Roberts, although I reckon Sky will be very keen not to lose Eamonn with the ratings on the up in recent months.
