Also, programme information site has been updated for the Sky News debate day:
9-1 Debate Day (HD) with Dermot Murnaghan & Anna Jones
1-5 Debate Day (HD) with Jeremy Thompson & Anna Botting
7-8 Debate Day (HD) with Kay Burley
8-9:30 The Debate (HD) with Adam
9:30-11 Debate Day (HD) with Kay Burley

It would look as though the whole day of the debate will be broadcast in HD and not just the debate itself.

Great to see the double headed presentation back for it. I look forward to seeing Anna and Dermot together who I think should be doing sky news today together. Great to see Anna Botting and JT back together after a long time aswell/

So the HD channel is coming two weeks today for an hour and a half and then going off air again until Election Night?

Martin responded

It also looks like from then on, Randall & Boulton Unleashed, The Boulton Factor and Sunday Live will be in HD. Also the Scottish debate and the coverage around the BBC debate (including the debate itself).

Can we assume then the new graphics will be going Live from the Election Debate day onwards then?

I'd presume that they're live as soon as the HD channel launches permanently, or even on the Debate Day.

according to @SkyCharlotte, HD is coming very soon...

Could it be for the ITV Debate coverage as JT hosts debate day from 10-5 and Dermot from 8?

p.S. ITV's debate is on Thursday 15th, next week!

Martin Stanford saying on twitter, news of HD is out and refers you to this link:

If those are the HD graphics they look nice, quite similar in style to the Sky Sports News graphics.

I presume the SD channel will have to adopt the new logo etc. from the 22nd then. I wonder is there an outside chance of it launching next week for the ITV debate which is being recorded in HD or are they waiting because they can't show it live? Also be interesting to see if the HD graphics are used on the shows that remain SD after the 22nd or are just kept for the political shows.

I doubt they'll actually appear on screen together. It'll probably be Dermot and Jeremy on location with both Anna's back at Sky News Centre for other stories and newswall pieces.

"Why do the party leaders feel it necessary to get their wives involved in the campaign? What's the relevance? I don't bring my wife to the studio every night to hang from my arm while I am reading the news!" - JT to a studio guest last night on LAF, comparing the British campaign to that of the US elections, where the spouse tends to campaign on behalf of her husband.

LOL, JT.

I've written the blog post from press releases and other information in and around the Sky News website and press office. Martin's role isn't mentioned in these either in particular the main press release. Confused
