Obviously, Dermot and Kay have been live in Westminster. I assume Live at 5 will be too?

It will be.

I'd be surprised if they return to the main studio before the gallery is upgraded to HD. I'm not sure how long these things take.

AFAIK the gallery has already been upgraded. If you remember back to the start of the year when the fake backdrop was placed over the gallery window and tweets at the time said they'd moved to a temp gallery which was infact a hut in the car park! (I believe this was when the sound desk blew up and sent the channel off the air!?)

Oh and the latest tweet from Martin says:

... Last dot com show for a while as we become part of the GE coverage, all day everyday!

Be interesting to see where the Randall/Boulton show is presented from. Millbank, The City or both?

While we're obviously still all watching in SD, the OB from outside Westminster looks suspiciously like it's been through a downconverter. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something about the motion that's not quite right.

Déjà vu!

Do these live pictures from Westminister with Adam Boulton look odd to anyone else? I'm no expert but it looks like there might be frames missing.

The image quality from the Gherkin seems to have improved.

Watching Sky News today it does seem that the whole channel is having an adrenalin rush. I agree with a previous post regarding the black outline on the Logo. Possibly covering up the new logo below? not sure why they would want to but looks like it.

For the election coverage it's obvious that the newswall is going to be a massive asset to Sky's coverage, just watching Martin Stanford's piece on the polls it looks like the graphics department will be getting plenty of over time.

And a random note (Joke really):
Maybe the main studio is having those massive colour blocks which represent the union jack fitted into the set? Laughing

Some new astons have been added (the graphics seem to being rolled out in stages rather than all at once), and a new "May 6" graphic has appeared.

Live at Five TOTH

Presumably it'll be back to studio presentation from 7pm onwards.

On Afternoon Live there was a protest sign next to Kay for about 30 minutes, just gently bobbing. And yes, just seen it on Live @ 5 too.

Like the 'Election look' on the sky news website , however as we can see in the Election TOTH it doesn't really fit how the generic news slider does. Another good addition is the news scroller at the top of the page.

Certain to be in place for the Sky News debate I would think and possibly in time for ITV's Leaders Debate or Sky's Scottish and Welsh debates, the first of which is on the 18th

And this from the 'Editorial Assistant at Sky News Westminster'
