I was under the impression that the piece where Martin went through the polls was the main/actual newswall but that the piece Charlotte did featuring virtual graphics was in Studio B.

EDIT: Martin is on the main set now.

Just gone to commercials on Sky due to technical problems. All the graphics bar a faded live bug failed.

This lead to a nearly clean feed in Kay's chat to Adam, before having to go to a break (to fix the problems):

Still no press release from Sky detailing their coverage of the election, which seems odd.

Love the new Election TOTH. Sky's election graphics seem far superior to the BBC's effort. They're so glossy, and contemporary adding depth to the existing brand. However the beebs is rather flat and amateurish. Looking forward to what is ahead presentation wise!

Could those Sky election graphics, be a subtle hint to the Tory campaign. All their talk of Broken Britain. More bias from Sky, or just a coincidence! Wink

I'm waiting to see when presenting will start from the main studio again. The Martin Stanford pieces now seem recorded rather than live.

Obviously, Dermot and Kay have been live in Westminster. I assume Live at 5 will be too?

We've already heard that news summaries are coming from Studio B, and the weather is still from the chromakey screen. So perhaps they haven't finished with the main studio yet?

It will be.

I'd be surprised if they return to the main studio before the gallery is upgraded to HD. I'm not sure how long these things take.

You'd think though that if these changes do take "weeks rather than days", they wouldn't have begun them in the run-up to the election.

While we're obviously still all watching in SD, the OB from outside Westminster looks suspiciously like it's been through a downconverter. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something about the motion that's not quite right.
