just looking at eamonn holmes's twitter and he says charlotte's making a guest appearance on this morning on friday! wonder if she'll be presenting with him? As isnt ruth langsford presenting gmtv at some point in the next couple of weeks?

Ruth is presenting GMTV next week. I wonder what Charlotte's on for though?

My understanding was that since Matt is Sky's entertainment correspondent, he is just being used as relief in the newsroom at the moment along with Sarah Hughes due to some notable absences in both Tamsin Roberts and Lorna Dunkley, unlike Jayne Secker who has made a permanent switch. Perhaps I was wrong in that assumption and we'll be seeing a lot more of him, who knows?

Though I can't see that there is enough work for Matt to return to full time entertainment correspondent. Steve Hargrave seems able to cover most of those stories by himself currently - I don't often see general reporters covering showbiz/entertainment

As for Sarah she is a good presenter of The Live Desk (not Afternoon Live though) and hopefully she will remain as a relief presenter.

Isn't Tamsin freelance - I'm sure Ive read she was doing ITV London weekend bulletins when she was still at Sky. And Sky seem to have cut down on freelancers recently (e.g. Sasha)

I've seen Tamsin cover LT presenting shifts at the weekend and reporting duties.

Pretty low key coverage of the election news so far on Sky News (and no coverage from SkyNews.com from what I can see). Perhaps holding back for tomorrow, which is sensible enough I suppose.

They could at least mention it online - BBC jumped straight away online with the news Shocked

Was the news embargoed til 10pm? @BBCLauraK was straight in there at 10pm, @SkyNewsBreak were a few minutes behind.

What was it like on the telly? Did both break at 10pm?

Yeah very strange that there is no mention of it online, perhaps there is a technical fault. Presumably if HD launches tomorrow the website will also get a mini revamp.

Nick Robinson had the scoop, everyone else put it down to Labour Sources.

In a slight departure for Sky News an exit poll will be used on election night,
Quote:
When polling stations close at 10pm precisely, Sky News viewers will learn the result of the most comprehensive exit poll ever.

Also worth noting the date of Sky's Scotland debate
Quote:
On Sunday 25th I'm moderating the Sky News Scotland Debate - first minister Alex Salmond of the SNP will be one of the participants.

More from Adam Boulton here,

No changes as of 6AM, albeit a few new election graphics such as the usual box on the ticker with the latest poll numbers. Still no real indication if we will see a HD launch today, only thing that caught the eye was that the full screen graphic showing statements from the various party leaders seems to use a completely different font.

Newswall now back on air with Martin Stanford.
