Looking ahead to election night, Anna Botting announced on air tonight that she'll be based with Clegg.

Disappointed with that, had hoped she would have fronted the whole show with Adam Boulton. Have a horrible feeling it might be Kay Burley.

Oh of course, it was Julie last time.

Surely Kay and Anna are the main female presenters, and if Anna is with Clegg then I would assume Kay is anchoring election night. Oh the joy.

Not necessarily, it was Jeremy and Adam in 2001. And I would expect Dermot to have a high profile role as well, given that he anchors many of the high profile events on Sky such as the budget.

Jeremy and Adam would be a good call. I can imagine Dermot being at Cameron's constituency on the night, and someone like Andrew Wilson with Brown. A real shame they don't have Julie, though, she was excellent in 2005. I think last time around Kay was out in the Skycopter going from count to count. She was also based in a marginal during the campaign, I wonder if this year she'll be going back to the town she was in on budget day.

Anna was quite rightly excited about being in Clegg's seat on election night, as that could be where the big story is.

Wonder if they'll recall the foreign correspondents like Alex Crawford and Emma Hurd to follow the leaders during the campaign, seem to remember they did that last time.

Anyway, I'm sure there'll be a whole heap of press releases coming out of the Sky Centre on Tuesday.

I really hope with the HD launch they bring in some schedule changes. It would be great to see a return to double headed presentation. Some of the presenters such as Samantha, Paula, Chris and Lorna are really underused and would be great in higher profile roles on the channel.

They could keep Kay for the Friday daytime. Unless Adam and who-ever his co-presenter stay on I'm guessing they will want someone 'senior' on the Friday. So maybe Colin and Kay (as hapenned in 2007) with Jeremy on Live at Five?

And I wonder if Mark Longhurst will get replaced with someone who has a higher profile on Sunrise. IIRC for the 2007 local/Scottish/Welsh election he got replaced by Julie

Kay B and Jeremy presented from 9 am to 7 pm on the Friday.

Kay B spent the campaign in the marginal seat - I really felt that it didn't add anything to the campaign.

I would be surprised if the main show wasn't Kay and Adam really. Kay has been doing a lot of on-location politics presentation in recent times, even more than usual, and I think she'll probably have some role to play in the build-up to the debates. Then perhaps Jeremy, Dermot and Anna B with the party leaders during election night before they all head to Westminster for the Friday daytime. Expect Colin and Andrew Wilson will also do something or other. The joint-headed presentation of the US Election coverage worked quite well in my opinion, and although it's obviously different for a British Election, a similar concept could work.

What about Eamon? I'm sure he'll want to be involved in some way.

Hopefully once the election is called Sky will promptly confirm all the details.

The amount of coverage Sky News is giving the Ofcom pay TV ruling today by the way is nothing short of ridiculous.

I haven't seen Lorna around for quite a while - what's she presenting now? Confused

She has just presented a baby - and therefore is proabbly now presenting her boob for said baby.
