That's just a new studio. CNN has been in HD since 2007, I don't expect to the international version go HD for quite a while.

I came across this image on google, brought back the good days of the 2005 schedule. Although Ginny was to be frank, useless, it was a far more entertaining, yet still 'newsy' format with Mark and Steve compared to the dull showbiz drivel that is Afternoon Live.

It's would be cruel, but also remiss not to use this as an opportunity to post this infamous clip of her.

The last time Ginny was on TV, it was a Tonight programme special - I think that was in November maybe? She's done a few articles for the Daily Mail too.

To be honest, I think she did improve, especially in the 3 anchor SNT. It was a shame they got rid of her, she'd be good on the News, Sport, Weather wheels now...I think?

Interesting. Yep she would suit the slot. I doubt she'd ever return to Sky though. I remember reading at the time there were a number of sackings at Sky News and I don't think any of them were very pleasant. For example didn't one employee turn up to find he couldn't log on to his computer and emails etc leading him to find out the hard way? I know we shouldn't talk about particular cases here but I'm sure it was mentioned on here at the time.

Also shows that, as expected, the election coverage will be branded "Decision Time".

Like Sky Sports at first glance the new logo doesn't look quite right. But I grew to like the former so no doubt this one will do the same.

One other thing, does anyone know if Sky News HD will be FTA or will we have to get the News and Events Mix on our Sky package?

Most likely is that it will be available as part of the HD pack.
