i.e. very low standards and very little sensitivity.
Although I couldn't give a flying .... about Peter Andre bursting into tears, she is insufferable now. She actually didn't used to be this bad when she was paired up with another presenter. Perhaps I'm just delusional.
Not so long ago she was interviewing a BNP "politician" and I actually found myself sympathising with him (a vile experience) because in fairness he was answering her question openly and she kept repeating it because she thought he was "being evasive". It was toecurling.
I think Burley confuses good journalism with aggression. She rarely knows the subject she's interviewing on and so she instead switches to gutter questioning that might make for interesting TV but adds nothing to anyone's understanding of an issue.
John Ryley really is quite the Kay Burley fan

Kay handled this interview with the same exacting standards of professionalism and sensitivity that she takes into every programme she makes

Blimey. Paula Middlehurst on the main evening bulletins tonight. Been a long time since that happened.
Big story breaking too in the U.S. so plenty to keep her busy. Good coverage so far.

Glad to see Keith Graves refused to get involved with all of the speculation that Sky are are engaging in, simply saying all he knows is that 2 people are confirmed dead.

A lot of speculation is going on. When I switched over to the BBC for a short while they were engaging in some of it as well.

Just posted this in the BBC thread .... It's equally valid here...
This explosion although bad, shows how one word can provoke newsroom hysteria, seems that a Police Spokesman used the words 'Mass Casualties' which ratcheted up the news media globally and the story got exaggerated as a result. Twitter of course went ballistic RTing the Mass word too.
I'm not saying that it's not serious, but the back tracking has already started from the News media stateside.
