I would imagine the newswall is having some sort of upgrade, honestly, on the closer shots during Afternoon Live it really looks pixelated and unclear when the camera zooms in. Obviously that would show up even clearer in HD.

That sounds very nice, I wonder when it goes on air?

Did anyone manage to capture Mark Longhurst having to duck his own camera (or boom) at the 10am TOTH?

I think it was a light and I don't think he really needed to duck. I'm not even sure he noticed it until it had gone out of frame again. It seems that Sky had set up in the way of a snow moving lorry because at 10:01 we got a shot of the lorry moving down Lewes High Street where Mark Longhurst had been standing. That probably explains why the light needed to be moved.

The newswall is very noisy I find from the weather updates. Does anyone know what will happen to the newswall pending the HD Channel launch, also we can assume the logo will get the Sky Sports treatment of a losenge shape and lowercase logo, but will the graphics change, and could the logo change more dramatically? Also will the HD channel run with its own graphics set or will the two channels share graphics?

Not sure about the graphics but the logo will change to using the new Sky corporate logo.

Haha.. Very Happy

Incidentally, Fox took just over 10 minutes of Sky's live coverage at midnight.

Although yesterdays incident at Heathrow turned out to be some drunk people, it showed how well Sky News for me can do breaking news. They were all over this story, so good for them.
