Anorak Alert

Went to London for a day trip last week and ended up in College Green opposite Parliament. Came across the attached which I assume is used to send feeds back to Millband up the road. I believe similar cabs exist in Downing Street & near Buck House.

It was a Sunday, so it was quiet with no crews on the green, so I was surprised to see the cabinet open to the elements (unless it was old) and surprised to see these cable reels lying around.

What did Mike Tyson do to Dermot at the end of the interview this morning? Again I was watching without sound in the gym, but they seemed to show the clip over and over, and it looked like Dermot was in pain of some form. Laughing

Quote:
Mike Tyson's tour manager tried to storm on to the Sky News set and halt a live TV interview when the former heavyweight boxing champion said he was becoming "irritated".

When the interview turned to [Tyson's] spectacular fall from grace, which saw him jailed for rape and bite a chunk out of fellow heavyweight Evander Holyfield's ear during a comeback fight, things took an ominous turn.

Murnaghan reminded him of the reputation he had then as the baddest fighter in the world, and the fact he had said he wanted to punch an opponent's nose into his brain.

"I want to see how much you've changed, and whether you're a different person," Murnaghan said.

"I don't know if I'm a different person. Change comes in time," Tyson replied.

"You're starting to irritate me now... I guess I did change because I'm not assailing you!"

At that point, Jimmy Clyne, who has organised Tyson's tour of the UK, stormed out of a nearby room and up to the set, where he was headed off by Sky News sports editor Lee Wellings.

I've not seen Steve Dixon presenting for a few weeks now, maybe 3. I wonder where hes went - strange he deleted his Twitter around the same time too?

Sky should air more CBS News bulletins, I like the way they are presented.

I think it's time Sky dumped Burley - I probably sound ageist but I prefer watching the younger women on Sky News.
